About Me

Danbury, CT
I'm a full-time substitute teacher and coordinator of CMT's at a large middle school. Married with two grown sons (both redheads)! I'm not afraid of anything! One son just graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a degree in Journalism - he minored in Cinema Studies. The other just began his freshman year at The University of Hartford where he is a student of the Hartford Art School. We are owned by a smelly, old cat, a frenzied dachshund named Otis and a chinchilla!

What Started as a Creative Prank...

It's that time of year again.  Seniors are graduating from high school and along with the prom, class trip, skip day (never sanctioned anywhere) and numerous other 'rites of passage' is the 'Senior Prank'.  Classes will always try to outdo each other and come up with something creative and new.  At my son's high school the seniors actually came up with something well..different.  As you can see from the photo (www.danburypatch.com for the whole article) it was a time consuming stunt that involved bypassing the high school security system and during the evening hours filling hundreds (maybe thousands) of Styrofoam cups with water and lining the freshman floor with them!  Sometimes things don't stop where they should and this is one instance where things got out of hand very quickly.  There was mayhem during the day that just wouldn't quit.  While the administration is of course downplaying the water and food fights and the 'lockdown' that occurred at the end of the school day, the reality is that 26 students were suspended and given a police citation of $103.00 each.  Senior students that were suspended will not be allowed to participate in any graduation events.  This is a very large high school with over 3,000 students and the administration does need to maintain order.  The message had to be sent.

I found some pictures of some other senior pranks and even one involving our President Obama!  Stuff happens.
