I've said it before and it bears repeating...if you have the opportunity to attend a theater event wherever you live - go. Not only will you be supporting the arts but you will find that you'll nourish your sole in a way that no flat screen will ever be able to. We just renewed our season tickets for next year at The Bushnell Theater in Hartford, CT and are looking forward to seeing incredible shows that just for a brief moment in time can transport us to a different time and place. If nothing else we see that our present isn't really so bad after all. Enjoy the You-Tube clip!

About Me
- Roberta
- Danbury, CT
- I'm a full-time substitute teacher and coordinator of CMT's at a large middle school. Married with two grown sons (both redheads)! I'm not afraid of anything! One son just graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a degree in Journalism - he minored in Cinema Studies. The other just began his freshman year at The University of Hartford where he is a student of the Hartford Art School. We are owned by a smelly, old cat, a frenzied dachshund named Otis and a chinchilla!

'Fiddler On the Roof' - Classic Theater Comfort!
Yesterday we travelled into Hartford again to the Bushnell Theater. With two boys that are college age that's about the extent of our travelling at this point in time! It's a welcome respite from the stresses that daily life can bestow upon us. This month we saw 'Fiddler on the Roof'. Check out this Wikipedia link for more information about the show. This is what I call 'Comfort Theater'. We know exactly what we're going to see, there won't be any surprises and yet we're drawn to the music and story over and over again. The experience is like an old friend, a favorite food or a treasured memory and the production we saw yesterday did not disappoint! This is family theater at it's finest. There were people of all ages at this show and it's still refreshing to know that even today with our reliance on technology, theaters will still fill up for live shows with real orchestra music!
